Nativity set made of 15 figurines that are 15 cm tall and made of clay.
All figurines are made of printed terracotta clay and subsequently hand-sponged.
This line of nativity sets is produced in Deruta, Italy, a small town in Umbria famous for its artistic creation in terracotta and for the high materials and working processes quality standards. The clay is hand-worked by local expert artisans.
The craftsmanship and small retouching make each item a unique piece.

SJ E.12/30/2022I was pleased about the size of the figures, but details are "muddy" at best. The resin figures that I ordered here are much nicer. I do have some pieces I purchased in Sorrento years ago, checked the artist, from Sicily. Those features are brilliant for details.

Ils sont arrivés, a priori, en direct du site de production en Italie et pourtant la livraison a été rapide (commande passée un dimanche, colis arrivé le vendredi midi d’après). En revanche, il est bien dommage que les santons ne soient pas mieux emballés. Avant même que d’ouvrir le colis, j’entendais le « clic-clic » qu’ils faisaient en s’entrechoquant. C’est très étonnant qu’en ouvrant je n’ai découvert qu’un seul santon cassé. Pour le produit lui-même, j’aurais mis 4 étoiles, mais Le mauvais emballage cause de casse m’incite à ne mettre que 3 étoiles. Je regrette qu’une mauvaise logistique pénalise ce travail artisanal.
