An excellent customer service representative helped me with questions about converting to U.S. voltage. I purchased a step-up converter and all the animated scenes work just fine here in the U.S. This blacksmith raises and lowers his hammer very smoothly as he works on his wheel, and the forge glows red like it had a real fire in it.
