The farmer girl carries the heavy baskets home, returning from the fields. In the evening, she slowly descends on the village, absorbed in her thoughts, the young woman walks the streets to return home. Her gaze is lost among the stars that slowly appear in the sky and suddenly a trail draws her attention: soon she will receive wonderful news. All the nativity figurines are handmade, in terracotta and cloth, with skill and care by the Sicilian artist Angela Tripi.Normally the statues of the traditional nativity scene, for example the Neapolitan one, are made with a skeleton made with fabrics and with the ends in terracotta (the head, hands and feet). In her works, the artist tells a story: each statue is depicted in a specific moment in life. Characteristic details often emerge as tense muscles of a slave or the expression lines of an elderly person. Angela Tripi succeeds in giving each nativity set statue an amazing realism, never seen before and unrepeatable: no two pieces are ever the same. Adapted for a 30 cm nativity scene.
