Normally, terracotta nativity statues, for example the Neapolitan one, are built from a skeleton covered with fabrics to which the end parts are applied.In Angela Tripi's works, the artist tells a story: each statue is depicted at a specific moment in their life, telling us a story, before and after that moment.Details such as; tense muscles, tendons, expression lines and hands (open and with well-defined fingers) often emerge clearly.The artist succeeds in giving each shepherd an unrepeatable realism: the nativity scene statues will never be equal to each other, rending each one unique.
