The funny scene looks very real. The shepard is returning home after a long day of tending to his sheep. Suddenly, a goose decides to defend its territory and decides to head full force towards the man and his flock. However, the shepard does not allow this intimidation and drives away the goose. The pose and expression of the shepard retell this situation. In contrast, the goose is captured in a humorous light with a frightened reaction.Every figure of Angela Tripi's scene is characterized by a strong attention to detail. The artist takes inspiration from the tradition of the ancient Arab world and, by re-elaborating the history and customs appropriately, comes to a personal interpretation of the characters of the time. While the traditional terracotta statues of the nativity scene are constructed starting from a skeleton frame covered with clothes to which the extremities are applied (head and limbs), the artist Angela Tripi's statues have a completely formed body: they are modeled nude and subsequently dressed with fabrics and small jewels, details capable of giving the statue an amazing realistic look. The artist manages to give personality, charisma and charm to the creations. Details such as; wrinkles, grins, tendons, tense muscles emerge clearly. Above all, while a traditional statue, through the static nature of a gesture remembers of a trade or a character, admiring these works you realize that there is a story behind those faces and those looks, a life, that Tripi does nothing but capture the essence of a particular time.
The craftsmanship of each statue makes each piece always different and one of a kind.
