Thanks to her own hens just bought at the market she will feed her family. The lady also holds a wicker basket in her hand containing straw. The woman seems exhausted from the road traveled to reach the nearest village, but smiles at the other inhabitants of the village. Her face is marked by wrinkles, but a bright and full of life light shines in her eyes. The terracotta and fabric statues are made and painted completely by hand at Angela Tripi's atelier in Italy. The statuettes are real works of art characterized by an impressive wealth of details and by the attention and care in finishing. Angela Tripi's works of art have a fully formed bodies. They are created with terracotta and then subsequently dressed. These distinctive elements give the statue a stunning realism. While normally the terracotta statues of the traditional nativity scene are built starting from a skeleton covered with clothes to which the terracotta extremities of the limbs (head, hands, feet) are applied.
