The woman, returning from work in the fields, has a face marked by fatigue from the long day. Her gaze stops on the bright trail that crosses the sky: a shiver crosses her back and, between fear and curiosity, decides to follow it to see where it will take her. Soon she will know the greatness of the Lord.
Each character in Angela Tripi's crib is characterized by a strong attention to detail.
Angela Tripi takes inspiration from the ancient Arab world for the creation of her figures and, by appropriately reworking the history and customs, comes to her own personal interpretation of the characters of the time.
Normally the statues of the traditional nativity scene, for example the Neapolitan one, are made with a skeleton, fabrics, and terracotta ends (the head, hands and feet). Instead, the statues of the artist Angela Tripi have completely formed bodies: they are modeled naked and then dressed with fabrics and small jewels. In her works the artist tells a story: each statue is depicted in a moment of their life, thus managing to make us understand the existence of a before and after. Angela Tripi manages to give each nativity statue an amazing realism, never seen before and unrepeatable: no two works will ever be the same, rending them unique. THE CHARACTERS COULD DIFFER FROM THE PHOTO AS EVERY SCULPTURE IS A UNIQUE PIECE, BY CHOICE FROM THE ARTIST.
