Moor woman washing clothes, 13 cm Angela Tripi.
The moor slave made by Angela Tripi is near a basket full of dirty clothes belonging to her master. The woman with swollen eyes almost full of tears and lips as if they wanted to hint at a smile of melancholy and resignation, lives her days dreaming of her freedom.
All the statues are handmade, in terracotta and cloth, then meticulously painted by hand. It is a true work of art made with skill and attention at Angela Tripi's artistic atelier. Normally, the statues of the traditional nativity scene, for example the Neapolitan one, are made with a skeleton made with fabrics and with the ends in terracotta (the head, hands and feet).
The nativity statues of the artist Angela Tripi instead have completely formed bodies: they are modeled naked and subsequently dressed with fabrics and small jewels. In her works, the artist tells a story: each statue is depicted in a moment of their life, thus allowing us to understand the existence of a before and after. Angela Tripi succeeds in giving each shepherd an amazing realism, never seen before and unrepeatable: her works will never be the same, making them unique.
CHARACTERS MAY DIFFER FROM THE PHOTO AS EVERY SCULPTURE IS A UNIQUE PIECE, BY CHOICE FROM THE ARTIST.
