Cripple beggar 18 cm, Angela Tripi nativity.
The poor beggar, sitting on the side of the road, waits for alms day after day. He is tired and disillusioned will soon hear a thunder with hope: soon someone will announce that the Savior has arrived. Each character in Angela Tripi's nativity is characterized by a careful attention to detail. Angela Tripi takes inspiration from the ancient Arab world for the creation of her figures and, by appropriately reworking the history and customs, comes to her own personal interpretation of the characters of the time. While the terracotta statues of the traditional nativity scene (for example the Neapolitan ones) are built starting from a skeleton and then covered with clothes to which the terracotta ends are applied, the statues of Angela Tripi have a completely formed body. In fact, her nativity scene statues are modeled naked and, subsequently, painted and dressed with fabrics and small jewels, details capable of giving the statue an amazing realism. The artist manages to give her creations personality, charisma and charm: expression wrinkles, grimaces, tense muscles etc. often emerge clearly. Furthermore, it must be added that while a traditional statue, through the static nature of a gesture, recalls a craft or a character, admiring these works, portray a story behind those faces and those looks, a moment of life with a before and after. If you know how to grasp the soul of a statue, you can also understand at what moment Tripi is photographing it and what she wants to express. The craftsmanship of each nativity statue makes each piece always different, therefore unique and unrepeatable.

Suitable for a Nativity Scene with standing characters 18 cm tall
