The lime wood is worked by hand and carved to create the bas-relief figures of the Holy Family. The figures are subsequently hand painted with oil colors and finished with gold details. The Christmas tree ornament is illuminated by a warm light bulb, whose light shines through the perforated stars. The light is powered by three included AG3 button batteries, and is activated by tightening the hook at the top of the ball.
