The panel should be exposed to the sun during the day, so that at midday the sun's rays hit it at a 90 degree angle. When the sun goes down the light activates automatically, and in optimal conditions it can last 6-8 hours. As for usage, holding the button for 3 seconds will turn the lights on. By pressing the button once, you can change the mode of the lights. A subsequent press will turn off the lights, allowing simple and immediate control of the various functions.
